Dream Catcher
Something slightly new for me… I often ask followers or people I follow to allow me to use their photos as reference. This time I changed my process so I could be much more deeply involved in the images I choose. I put out a general request for a face model.
Felicia responded. We met and spent about 1.5 hours photographing her. I took about 250 photos, sorted through them, selected my top 10 and decided on my favorite.

Felicia responded. We met and spent about 1.5 hours photographing her. I took about 250 photos, sorted through them, selected my top 10 and decided on my favorite.
I’m sooooo thankful to Felicia. Her unique look and outlook on life fueled my creative juices far beyond my expectations. We talked about her interest in spirituality and dreams. She has a PhD in Mythological Studies and is a “confident guide into the mystery and magic of dreams.” Thus, I’ve named this portrait “Dream Catcher.”
A million thanks, Felicia, for making this happen and for your influence on me and this portrait. I feel extrodianarly lucky to have made our connection. I’ve gained an entirely new energy and found – entirely by accident – a way to embody that energy into my work.
